Stability and life of a % oxygen sensor is also a challenge when its anode, an essential component of a % oxygen sensor, has inactive regions within the anode structure. AST design team implemented a new anode material configuration and a proprietary electrolyte mixture, thus enabling full utilization of the lead anode (upward of 90%). Furthermore, the introduction of electro-etched smooth surfaced sensing cathode, proprietary electrolyte composition and a coiled shape anode eliminates the possibility for oxygen to hide and produce any spikes during use. This innovation translates into AST PPM oxygen sensors’ exceptional long term stability.
This combination drastically improves the life, performance and stability of AST % oxygen sensors.
